Never Drink Alone

When you find yourself flying solo at the pub, order in pairs. This serves several purposes:

  1. Others usually assume you’re with a friend who just happens to have stepped away momentarily.
  2. You’re better prepared for a shift change or other interruption in service. As the saying goes… Dig the well before you’re thirsty.
  3. You’re readily positioned to offer a drink to a mate should one suddenly appear.
  4. You can position one to your right or left depending on the better view; thus deterring unwanted occupancy until a worthy candidate materializes.
