This mornings run was rather painful. I took last night off to let a slightly swollen ankle heal; it was almost as stiff this morning. I slogged through anyway, but reduced the already diminished mileage by half. The light spritzing rain didn’t help either, but I’ll not complain since I was really not much wetter than usual after a run. I’m taking tonight off since I’ll be out with PANTUG until midnight.
Speaking of things geeky and thought-provoking, I’m presenting a live/interactive lab on enterprise vulnerability assessment with Nessus. Nessus isn’t technically Open Source, but it’s still largely free so long as you can live without certain features (sufficient for most of the population). On the upside, you can still roll your own plugins with NASL. Tonights preso will not be an in-depth training session for Nessus newbies. I’ll focus on a high level review of what’s new in 3.x and the convergence of interfaces|functionality between the linux & windows versions.
