Today we visited Old Swedes Church. My 6th Great-Grandparents (William Henry b.1720 & Hannah Tanner b.1725) were married here in ~1743. We were able to see photocopies of the register page (the originals are stored for preservation and not generally accessible). I have a scanned copy of the page somewhere and will post it when located.
Additional information is available from the Swedish Colonial Society. Incidentally, the ancestors mentioned above were Irish and English, respectively. We’re not exactly sure why this particular church was chosen…… yet.
