Leaving the Ritz last night we passed, as we have so many times, the First Bank of the United States (1795). It’s a beautiful building, but doesn’t get much attention with so many other famous neighbors in close proximity. The building is currently closed to the public in preparation for the new home of the Civil War & Underground Railroad Museum of Philadelphia.
